A DSLR camera works by reflecting light into the optical viewfinder using a reflex mirror, which enables the photographer to record the scene they are looking at. After travelling through the lens, light is reflected by a mirror inside the camera body.

I like how his images gives viewers a misinterpretation of what is in this photo because of its abstraction.
|
As shown in this image, he changed around the lighting to create different type of images. I am inspired by the contrast and lighting in his photos.
|
This image looks transparent and I am very intrigued by how that makes the photo look satisfying and contrasts well with the dark sections of the image.

Jacobson was inspired by 20th century vernacular photographs when photographing out of focus snapshots.
|
His photographs are intimate and deeply poetic, evoking the fragmented states of memory and dreams.
|
When taking his photographs he often thought of Roland Barthes writing in camera Lucida that every photograph is of a dead moment

Nick Turpin
I wanted to add Nick Turpin as I captured a photo inspired by him. He captured many images in London of people through windows of buses where a blurry effect would Be caused by condensation. |
My Response
This image I took at night. The condensation on the window reminded me of Turpin's images. His colours were quite vibrant so I edited the blue in this image to stand out. However the man in the window is a silhouette, that is the main difference. |
For this image, I am happy with how the transitions from each image is so clean that you cannot tell they are three separate images. I took inspiration from two of Blumenfeld's photos to create this piece. I used patterned glass placed in front of my figure with a white backdrop and coloured lighting. I would like to experiment with lighting to then develop this strand further. Next time I want to use more materials as well as lighting to create more of an abstract image. |
